The Buuck Family Foundation
was created in 1994 by Bob and Gail Buuck to serve as one of the primary vehicles for their philanthropic giving. Bob, co-founder of a medical device company in Minnesota, and Gail, a former elementary school teacher, were raised with a deep commitment to sharing one’s gifts and actively giving back to one’s community. From their humble beginnings learning philanthropy from their families by way of volunteer work and community service, Bob and Gail are grateful to now have the opportunity for formalized, organized philanthropic giving to make a lasting impact.
The value of service to one’s community has been passed on to their children, David, John, and Katherine, through both example and by teaching the importance of caring for others. All three children currently serve on the board and are invested in continuing the founding vision of Bob and Gail. The Buuck family continues to foster a tradition that encourages current
and future generations of the family to be compassionate stewards of the foundation
and its legacy.
Our Mission
The Foundation concentrates its grantmaking in the regions where the family members live, supporting organizations and initiatives that provide opportunities and resources for individuals to reach their unlimited potential, thereby improving quality of life in families, schools, communities and beyond.
Our Vision
We envision a society that recognizes the unlimited potential of all individuals and our collective ability to impact human, environmental and social needs in pursuit of positive communal change.
