APPETITE FOR CHANGE

Appetite For Change is a nonprofit that uses food as a tool to build health, wealth, and social change in North Minneapolis. We bring people together to learn, cook, eat, and grow food, creating change that lasts.

BLACK MEN TEACH

We build pathways for Black men to embrace careers in education, shaping the next generation of teachers and creating a lasting impact on students and society. Together, we are creating stronger communities and more equitable futures — ultimately realizing the true potential of representation in the classroom.

By relieving the pressure to purchase furnishings, Bridging services provide families a comfortable home and allow them to focus on other crucial matters in their life.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES - TWIN CITIES

The present structure of Catholic Charities was created in 1977 by the merger of several other Catholic welfare and social service organizations. It is now the largest private provider of social services in the Twin Cities, operating more than 75 programs that address a broad range of social concerns.

CENTRO

Located in the Phillips Neighborhood of South Minneapolis, Centro is an organization that has identified education as a primary strategy for creating a vital future for Latino families in that area of the city.

Ascension Catholic Academy is a beacon of innovative, inclusive urban Catholic education where scholars soar as beloved children of God and communities prosper.

COALITION ON HOMELESSNESS- CALIFORNIA

The Coalition on Homelessness organizes homeless people and front line service providers to create permanent solutions to homelessness, while working to protect the human rights of those forced to remain on the streets.

COOKIE CART

Cookie Cart gives Twin Cities teens the opportunity to develop foundational skills and tools to be successful in education and career by combining hands-on work experience, classroom work readiness curriculum, customer service education, leadership training, and financial literacy classes.

CORNERSTONE

Cornerstone is a community-based domestic violence prevention program servicing Bloomington, Edina, Richfield and Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Services are provided in response to the crisis needs of victims and their children, including the provision of emergency safe housing for women, children and men.

At Great River Greening, we have ecological expertise in natural resource and water quality management, and in community building. We focus our work in locations and on activities that offer conservation impact, ecosystem services, and community benefits.

MOUNT TAMALPAIS COLLEGE

The mission of Mount Tamalpais College is to provide an intellectually rigorous, inclusive Associate of Arts degree program and College Preparatory Program, free of charge, to people at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center; to expand access to quality higher education for incarcerated people; and to foster the values of equity, civic engagement, independence of thought, and freedom of expression.

The Nature Conservancy is bringing a spirit of innovation to preserving life on Earth. In Minnesota, we’re working with diverse partners to protect our waters, forests and grasslands; build sustainable food and water systems; and tackle climate change. We're also working and organizing with local communities to leverage nature as a tool to build a brighter future for all Minnesotans.

NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE

We are a multi-service agency, providing wrap-around services for people when they need it most. Neighborhood House helps people with basic needs, education, multiple youth programs, and health and well-being. All of our programs are offered for free to participants.

Street Spirit is a monthly newspaper that is sold by homeless people in Berkeley and Oakland. It is written by and for unhoused people and others who are interested in producing original journalism about the crisis of homelessness, and the issues with which it intersects. We report on the politics and policies that impact our community, and publish personal essays, profiles, and poetry, which illuminate the experience of homelessness with unique intimacy.
